Our philosophy at SGA is that a good Arabian must first be a good horse.
We believe that breed type is essential for an Arabian to be a good Arabian - but not at the expense of good sound conformation. We look for a refined head, with good jowl, large eye and small neat ears, and a neck with exceptional arch. A short strong back and long broad hindquarter; good tail carriage and most importantly - light free powerful action with a long ground covering stride.
To our minds a good Arabian needs to be a sound useful horse that can fulfil a role as a performance animal. Temperament is a prime consideration for us and our horses have to be good natured and easy to work and live with on a day to day basis. Our horses have been used for pursuits such as pleasure riding, stock work, endurance and racing - at the same time they have been shown at halter to take good placings at major shows.
